What to expect...
Goal setting in early childhood and SEND practice can easily become focused on fixing children, encouraging compliance or measuring progress against predetermined norms. This self-paced module invites you to pause and rethink what meaningful, ethical and affirming goal setting can look like. Rather than simply replacing SMART with another acronym, ATTUNED offers a wrap-around approach grounded in relational knowing, children’s strengths, meaningful participation and quality of life. You will learn how to move from an affirming observation to an ATTUNED goal, intended impact, affirming outcomes and responsive provision. Complete the module at your own pace and leave with a practical framework you can apply across education, therapy and support planning.
